Different Strokes for Different Folks

I had three partners for this particular swap and for each partner I was to create an ART Themed Postcard. Well in my mind ART would be anything hand drawn or painted. Sooo., I looked up the profile of each of my partners and this is what I created for them.

My first Partner likes the Vogue style and Make-up so this is what I sent....

My next partner likes Nail polish bottles...

and last but not least my third partner likes Primitive art and therefore I created this...
I hope each of my partners will enjoy their postcards. I can't wait to see what I get.

Rainbows and Kitten

Trying to inspire the sun to shine here in my wee corner of Va. I have decided to make some kittens and rainbows. I really do like the way they have turned out and might even use them in my comic strip!
Let me know what you think!

MACRO Swap

I am part of a swap at Swap-bot.com. It is MACRO art.
MACRO (adj) is defined as: very large in scale, scope, or capability

I started sketching these out quite a while ago and ended up doing several. I just can't decide which to send in for the swap.

Here are the one's I have completed...

Which is your favorite?

Project 365 Day #77

Here is what I have created for day #77. It is 70* outside here and I was just thinking how wonderful it would be to get back to my most favorite place ever.... THE RIVER ... just to relax and soak in the sun rays.

This is done in prismacolor marker and black sharpie. Size 4.5 X 5.5
I was really happy with it until I added the dark green outline to the lily pad. I tried to soften it with a clear blender but it just wasn't working so., I have to leave well enough alone. :-( Still practicing on my furry friends to make them look more realistic.... practice practice practice....!!!!!!

Singing song birds

When I woke up this morning there was the beautiful sound of many many song birds singing. I wasn't able to see them due to the thick fog surrounding the property but hearing them was just what I needed.

Here I drew a few birds that I know are in the area and singing...

Phoebe

This is Phoebe, she is a hummingbird I was watching on line for a few days. She is located in California somewhere. She was nesting on two eggs neither of which were fertile. It was a sad thing to see her leave her nest but I have her tucked in my memory and in my journal.

I am still not good at birds but like my hand study., I will keep practicing until I get these fury lil friends looking real.

Project 365 Day #75

Today marks the 75th day of Project 365 and I have done this sketch just for that purpose. I am pretty happy with the way it turned out, just wishing my face was better proportioned.

If I had a Sharpie

Here is a swap I joined "If I had a Sharpie...."
I decided to draw hands with sharpie pens ...doing something. I have been working on drawing hands for a couple of months now and it has really paid off.

The first one I just drew a simple hand and then drew the atc with a piece of stationary and wrote.. "If I had a Sharpie I would write a letter to the world telling them of....."
The second I said "If I had a Sharpie I would paint the midnight sky with a million colors".

The third I said "If I had a Sharpie... I would give a grey seal pink spots", and the fourth one I said "IF I had a Sharpie I would paint an Easter egg with many colors.".

I like the way these turned out and hope my partners do to!

Keep sketchin till ya can't sketch no mo!!!
Cindy

Havin fun with this one

Hey everybody., I have joined a swap "Muppet's gone Goth" and I am having a blast. Here are the two I have created so far., I think this is going to be another of those that I can't stop making even when the swap is over....

I think I will do Gonzo next... can't wait!

Time ~ is slipping away

I have another swap with the theme "Time" Here is what I created to send to my partner.... (This is done in Prismacolor marker)

as you can see (well almost.. it is kind of dark., sorry) that the pocket watch is slipping through his fingers. You never know how fast time is going by until you look at your baby and he is all grown up!
Enjoy it while it lasts!

Butterfly Dragon

This is the butterfly dragon I spoke of in the previous post. I do hope that my partner will enjoy these.

Gypsy ATC

Here is another for the Profile-based swap over at Swap-bot.com. This is my second partner for this swap and the profile gave me a lot to choose from.

I started with .... the Gypsy

I am also working on a Butterfly Dragon. I will post the butterfly dragon tomorrow. I just about have it done but REALLY need to go to sleep . I do hope that my partner will enjoy them.

Project 365

I have joined the group over at Project 365 where we will submit a drawing a day for 365 days. I have just started this past week so I will be posting a few a day until I catch up.

Here is my Vogue madam riding her trusty peacock. This was featured on the front of Vogue in 1918. Fabulous., don't you think!

Circus Clown

Here is one of the clowns I will submit for the Circus 'Clown' atc swap at swap-bot.com. I will be adding another to the set before submitting it but this is what I have so far.
I have really enjoyed that last few swaps I have done. If you aren't a member at Swap-bot.com come on over and join us.

Here is my 'attempt' at making Abby from NCIS. For this swap I had to present a KEY somewhere on the ATC. Here Abby is wearing a 'key' necklace.

Here is just a lock and key that I did by itself.

I do hope my partner enjoys them. She noted on her profile that she watches NCIS and so do I (haven't missed one yet) and Abby seemed to be the easiest to attempt to draw. heehee

Letter H atc's for a swap

I created these two atc's for the letter H swap over at Swap-bot.com. Snoopy and Charlie are doing the Happiness dance and the Hobbie Horse done in patchwork was geared toward my partners profile. She loves fabric. I hope she will enjoy the two of these.

Cat in the Hat.

Here are two ATC's I created to celebrate Dr. Suess' 73rd Birthday. I just love the Cat in the Hat. I know they are a bit dark but I am pleased with the outcome of the ATC's. My scanner is still out of commision thus the darkness.

I do hope the individual that receives them will enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them.
