31 Days of Prayer for my Children

Starting Sept 1st 2008 I am going to pray specifically for my children and in doing so I am going to illustrate each prayer.

Here is my First entry ... Sept 1st 2008 ... Salvation

"Lord, 'let salvation spring up' within my children, that they 'may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory'" Isaiah 45:8

Monday Art Day

This weeks theme is Beatrix Potter. Here is my entry..

Beatrix is a favorite of mine and when I found out this weeks theme I was inspired to read "Beatrix Potter A Journal" again. Within it's cover I found the entry for the first time she started sketching rats (mice, if I would have writen it heehee). A quick sketch

Here is a sketch I did up real quick while waiting for my dh to get the expedition inspected. I was thinking of making a note card with a "Wish you were here" theme and this is what I came up with for the cover. Let me know what you think.

A day out with the Girl Scouts

My two girls and I went on an outing with the girl scouts called "Everythings Fishy" and what fun we had. Here is my sketch journal entries for that day. I will replace them with the colored ones just as soon as I am done coloring. .

I don't know who had more fun, the girls, or me because I was able to sit and doodle the whole thing. heheh

Cutie Critter Swap

I was part of the Cutie Critter Swap at Swap-bot and we were assigned to create an ATC with each of the following.... A guinea pig, a hedge hog and a sugar glider. I had so much fun with this swap that I just had to share them....

I was not aware of what sugar gliders were but now that I know and they are so totally cute. I plan to draw them more!

My second swap.. off and in the mail

I am really enjoying these Swap-bot swaps. Here are a few of the second set of postcards I have sent out. This time the theme was 080808. We were to illustrate eight postcards to send out to eight people on August 8th. I tried to read up on the person I was sending them to too see what sort of things they liked. I hope they all enjoy them, I had fun creating them.
